WHY AM I SEEING THIS?

You're connecting via Harmonic's
secure gateway

Your organization uses Harmonic Security to keep AI tools safe. This page explains what's happening and why you can trust the URL you're about to authorize.

What is Harmonic Security?

Harmonic Security is your organization's AI governance platform. It sits between your tools and the wider internet, ensuring that AI-powered connections, like the one you're setting up now, are secure, monitored, and compliant with your organization's policies.

Think of it as the security layer your IT team put in place so you can use AI tools confidently, without putting company data at risk.

Why does the URL show harmonic.security?

When you connect to an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, the technology that lets AI tools like Claude connect to your apps and data, is routed through Harmonic's secure gateway.

The URL you will see when you are authorizing this connection is intentional. It confirms that your organization's security policies are active and that this connection is handled safely on your behalf. This is not a phishing attempt. The harmonic.security domain is the expected, trusted URL you should see.

Is it safe to check the trust box?

Yes, if your IT or security team has set this up, you're expected to authorize this connection. Checking the box confirms you trust the Harmonic managed URL, which allows the AI tool to connect securely through the gateway.

If you weren't expecting to see this screen and aren't in the middle of setting up an AI tool, contact your IT team before proceeding.

Not sure what to do?

If you have questions about this screen, reach out to your IT or security team. They can confirm whether this connection is expected for your role.
